I have a 1976 Nissan (Datsun) B211 (B210 Facelift) JDM car with A12 Motor (1171 cc). I am unable to find my vehicle on rock auto parts catalog. I even email them but no reply. I only found 1976 B210 with A14 Engine (1.4L). Someone please help me find correct engine, transmission and steering system parts for my vehicle.

The engine and transmission should be easy enough.

On the engine: If the A12 has a front mounted distributor then you have an original A12 use the 1971-73 1200 for engine parts(you said 1171cc and that is an early A12). If it has a mid mounted distributor then you have an A12A (1237cc). Use the 1979-81 210 and select 1.2L.

On the transmission; you will likely need to crawl under the car and look at the passenger side of the case, there will be a number stamped on it 56/60/63. These transmissions will bolt to any A-series engine. If the tranny is 56 use 71-73 1200, if it's 63 use 74-78 B210, if it's 60 use 79-81 210. The 56/60/63 all came in 4 and 5 speeds and the parts differ between for and 5 speeds (the 56 5 speed is pretty rare)

Your car should have an A14 so it's possible the tranny was changed too, hence my giving you info on all three possibilities.

As for the steering parts I thought the 211 was a simple facelift so you should be able to use B210 parts for the steering.

Welcome to the world of Datsuns; people mix and match. My car has a 1200 engine, 210 trans, 510 wagon axle with 240Z brakes and 280ZX struts. I also have 210 engine that is about to go back in the car.

Tech Wiki is your friend......I use it constantly.
