How heavy do you think a A14 & 5-Speed weigh's together ?? Just a rough guess Thanks, and thats full of oil, with twin carbs etc.

I will get killed if anybody at work or my wife finds out that I lifted a A14 & 5-Speed box by myself onto a stainless steel trolly about a foot off the ground.

Might not be a big deal but Im not the stereotype Firefighter, you know 6ft+ tall and built like a brick ####house, Im 5ft 6 and a bit of a runt but Im real handy for tight rescue's . So Im just interested what it weigh's.

Regards
Amshaw

That should have been 5ft 10 , I think thats about 170cm's ??? I still cant beleave I did it as I had a big day at work and I was stuffed. Still running on andrenlien. But I had a few scotch's after the lift though !!

150-200 is a bit of a lift I guess but I lifted at the front and had the leverage of the gearbox to help. I dought it very much I could do it without the box etc.

An A12 weighs less than 90 and with box 110kgs so take it easy as a 250 crossflows weights 4 times more!

A while ago I was asking what is the best way to get a A12 out of the engine bay without an endless chain etc.

Most said that 2 blokes can lift it out no prob's and I thought that was a bit too much but I just lifted my A12 out of the wreak in the shed with no prob's , so I stand corrected !! But as I said to another member Im used to working with Holden V8's and turbo Auto's.
