Does anyone know if you can use carb internals: chokes, main, and idle jets from a Weber DCOE/Solex PHH side draft carb, onto a 40 mm DHLA Dellorto? I've got Dellorto's on mine, and it needs to be retuned, and Dellorto parts are not as easy to get as the others. Does anyone have some tuning parts they don't need for these? I need 36mm chokes, and I'd have to re-check what my idle and main jets are, but I need richer of both, especially idle jets. I've started to experience a severe lean condition and power loss at 6400 rpm after I match ported my cylinder head/intake and installed dual valve springs. Fuel pump/pressure is NOT the problem as I just put a new high flow electric pump/regulator and it still does it. I believe the carbs need to be re-tuned, but need the parts to do it. Can anyone help???

Hiya
Sadly, no, the bits dont swap with dellortos.. You can enlarge the chokes with a lathe, do maintain the venturi shape though!..36mm is getting big for a 40mm carby.
Jet drills can be used to enlarge jets, I reckon a trip to a knowledgeable rolling road would be money well spent!
There are several diameter of needle valve seats available, if you're pulling a heap of petrol through you may outflow the capacity of the needle valve and be draining the float bowl...The filters around the fuel inlet bolt block up too!!
