Just some info i thought i'd post.
I just bought a new fuel sender for my 1200 sedan and i found the model number for the fuel gauge the i am using.
Full = 12 ohms
Empty = 90 ohms

fuel level gauge= Autometer 3515 ( 73ohms empty / 8-12ohms full - for most Ford and Chrysler vehicles)

So It wouldn't be too wrong to use the autometer guage as a replacement. Good one. That's one of those things I always meant to get around to measuring.

Although I think the largest amount of error comes form dirty earth at the fuel tank to body, and sender to fuel tank connections. Although the actual resistor mechanism sometimes gets oxided up from the fuel after a while.

I'll measure the senders I've got at home and let you know what I find.
