im builden a datsun 1200 ute and continually have #### put on me by my work mates. Its going to have an a15 twin 40s, full ported head, double valve springs, cam(not sure of the specs), lightened flywheel, every thing new (by jeff taylor) suspension (by john taylor) reverised eye leaf springs, lowered 2inch all round, strut work, camber change, standard 1200 ute dif and box. To shut them all up i said id run my mates el xr6 for $500. Do i pull out while i have the chance, or double it?

tell ya what itll be close

i have fresh a-15 with cam, 32/36 weber, extractors and i went a xr8 EB or ED and it only pulled away slowly, mind you my card is desperate for a rebuild and was flat spotting pretty bad,

she also keeps up with XY 6cyl, so yeah i reckon itll be close but you might win it if ya get the launch right

...and if he beat YRLOSS then i'll race him for 2 grand and get everyone's money back!!

seriously I THINK you would get him. My stock A15 with twin 40's and extractors beats a 6 cyl EB falcon...i'm not gonna put 500 bucks on it though

Mines designed for 25-30 psi...

Forgies, shotpeened rods and a good Ballbearing turbo..is all you need...and put it in a 1200..

whooosh..good for 11s at least...
