If anybody wants to take a look at what I think as do many others, possibly the best A series powered Datsun 1200 in Australia come along to the Meguir's MotorEx this weekend at Sydney Showground Homebush to have a look.
The vehicle is owned by John Taylor from PEDDERS SUSPENSION PENRITH SYDNEY AUSTRALIA.
This is a rare public viewing of this car and if you get the opportunity to come and have a look do so.
John Taylor and I (John Boston) will be with the car over the weekend to answer any questions that you may have.

I would love to know ALL about this car (the yellow pedders coupe in the photo album), but since I'm in New Zealand could you give us a write up here?

John
I went (sunday arvo) and i saw the coupe. Loved the padlocks on the bonnet pins. I didn't see yourself, john or jeff around. Not many Datto's in the show just the pedders race car and a sweet looking candyish maroon 1200 sedan rally car.

i went saturday, saw the coupe, talked to someone about the upcoming nationals, saw some great films of racing at bathurst,mt druitt & gnoo blas at a historic stand, envied the race transporter down the back,& had a terrible sense of deju vu on seeing the 1200 sedan in kings red.bugger me if it's not owned by someone i've known for years, too.still,it was a bit rich at 18 bucks for entry.& i can understand the padlocks, have seen too many times over the years some mysterious injestions of rocks & bolts in race cars.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
