hi guys, i purchased a rootes nissan supercharger off a 1300 i was told, i have a 1400 in a 78 ute, now ive fitted it, not plummed or anything, no belts, just wondering what do i do next, blow off valve etc? im running straight gas, i know nuthing at all about doin it.
only thing i know is gas before the blower, does anyone know of a flat belt harmonic balancer pulley that will fit me a14? idler cog and belt is no worries as i can get them from the wreckers, if i fit a blow off valve, will it go off all the time? and let me gas out into the engine bay? thanks for ANYYYY info, i wanna see this thing gooo asap, i can home make a blow off valve if i have some info about them, thnx buzzard:))))

You cannot use a BOV on a draw thru supercharger setup. The reason for this is when the BOV goes off it is going to vent GAS all through your engine bay. Not good at all. As for the pulley questions you will most likely have to make up a double pulley arrangement. Check the articles section there is info in there on supercharging and turbo charging. The supercharging article by WALLY is most helpful.
