trentswagon, if you do this, you'll have to change your name.
Is yours a Datsun 1000 wagon? Is it 2-dr or 4-dr?

Whats your reasons for wanting a ute. The wagon is alot rarer and if your not having trouble with it Id suggest you keep it just to be different

its a 1200 wagon 4 door (like Wallys wagon), only 1 month of rego left (sept 16), has 4 speed sunny, stanza or something like gearbox in it, automatic choke, 300000 miles, remote central locking. It weighs 810 kgs so i think you can stick a turbo sr20 in it. but for now im more im just curious how much (roughly) i could get for it, then i might decide bout selling it. my sister (previous owner) said some1 saw it and offered $5000 or $6000 for it, would that be right?
it is indeed rare only ever seen one other, i like my wagon though cause ill be able so give all the girls a ride home from school (can take passenger(s), but i am also into riding so a ute would be right for my bike. So i am just thinking about it 4 now

1200s were manufactured starting in 1970. You can check the underhood plates and stickers and the door plate for the date of manufacture.

Hi trent to get $5-$6000 it would have to be in really really good condition !! I have seen a few I was looking at buying one for ca18 transplant. Most I looked at where too rough with rust in the usual places or modified (butchered). prices varied from $500 -$3000. I would personally keep yours as they are different and a bit more roomy than a ute as least you can put the seat back a bit in the wagon. and carry more than two people. cheers Andrew

Keep it. Find a way. There are some past cars I wish I hadn't gotten rid of.

This bloke down the road from me has still got his 1200 wagon up on ramps. Poor thing is stored outside. Light blue with little hotwires on it, looks shmick from the road. He resprayed it in his driveway but it looks so neat (from a distance, havent seen it up close). Four door, something different I love it. I told the missus that I should offer him some cash, but I have no room in the shed with the rally car and the other coupe.
Its great to dream.
