I'm a bit with Feral Errol.
I don't like rotaries in dattos, but, hey its a big world out there and it doesn't take much to accept the idea that some people think a bit different.
I've got an old, old old Road and Track somewhere from the 60's that had a poem in it that went something like

Winkle wonklle little Wankel,
How I wonder if your crank'll
Torque enough to turn itself.
Or if you'll wind up on the shelf

They only got that one a bit wrong.
