does the ca18det bolt up to the ca20e gbox/ are all ca20e gboxes the same?(pintara,b'bird,gazelle?)
I'm looking at a new project, a '85 S12 gazelle! and keen for a convert.

anyone want a injected b310?

The SR20DET would be a good conversion, but a CA18DET would be a very easy modification. For strength, use the CA18DET gearbox too.
Unfortunately this will mean getting a new tailshaft..The front Uni joint is almost certainly different. It's hard to find Gazelles that are low in rust or rust-free. It's Nissan's equivalent to the AE86 Sprinter.

yeah understandable, but hey if you struggle to sell (im seriously doubting it)

im always here

just out of intrest - does the direct fire ignition use a crank angle sensor instead of the conventional dizzy?

if you exlain how thats setup and maybe even estimate cost to setup that would be good

Ive just gone throught the IRS 85 Gazelle CA18DET swap. Its pretty straight forward if you use the matching box for the DET. AS Chris said tailshafts are different and needs to be shortened
We swapped the full loom and dash from the donor S12 as well (Big job but not necessary unless you want the boost gauge dsah and full instruments).
