Gday fellas,
Just checking that the top hose from the engine goes into the heater and the bottom hose is the return, yeah?

They are both tucked behind the plenum. Just thought I would check save pumping water through the little heater and stuffing it.

thanks fellas

Both of mine come from the back of the engine. If your heater element is old and crumbly, the higher pressure of the CA18's "pressurised cooling system" can cause the poor thing to break.

One night ..long ago.. It was a warm summers evening, I'd just left a friends place, and decided in a happy way to take off from where I was parked. The engine was still cold and I kinda revved it pretty hard, just as I was reaching about 4500rpm.. I hear a splat kinda noise, and one of the hoses on the drivers side lets go and squirts luke warm coolant from my stomach, up across my face and all over the back window of my sedan. I was absolutely stunned..and itchy from the ethylene glycol.

So moral of the story is to use tight hose clamps on the heater hoses..they get a fair bit of pressure too..
