Can someone confirm for me that the 1982 Datsun 510 Station Wagon has the H-190 rearend??? If so, does Nissan Motorsports still sell an LSD for this rearend? I have one available, so I need to know before purchasing....thanks! Also, what about the Datsun A10 Station wagon...does that have a H190 also??? Thanks!

The ex US 1600 wagon I recently dismantled had an H190 in it, it's nice and narrow too!

the a10 model was sold as the 1600 in america,so i think you'll find they're the same model.we didn't get a10 wagons in australia,so can't confirm about the h190,all we got were sedans with h165's,until they started assembling them locally, when they got an australian made borg warner diff.the original 1600 wagons (510's) also had h190's,but are hard to find.

NO the 79-82 A10 was sold in the US as the 510, NOT the 1600, Nissan did this as a marketing ploy to draw from the image of the older 68-73 HL510.
there are a number of differences between the 2 models, all of the older 510 sedans had independent rear suspension, where as the newer one had a rigid rear axle.
the older 510 wagon had a rigid rear axle with the H190 diff. and the newer one had the H165B. the older one had leaf springs and the newer one had coil springs.

The H190 in the 1600 wagon uses 24mm diameter x 23 spline axles same as SR311 roadsters. The LSD's for these are like gold in Japan and here in OZ as well.

The H165B diffs used in the A10 wagon rear I have have been leaf springs. Only the sedan and coupes had coils in the local OZ market.
