got a sr20 2day. it has almost everything except the distributor, wireharness and ecu.

Anyway since i dont have things, jus wondering how much power(hp & lb ft) can be created from this engine using 45mm' webers.

What tricks or work (headwork) could be done to obtain the max from this engine?

thanks.

If you were using the injection, you'd be able to get about 100kW at the wheels with the standard engine.

You may be able to get similar figures with webers, but you'll lose low revs drivability.

Just put a decent 2.5 inch exhaust and free flowing header, and you'll be doing fine.

I'd recommend that you try and get the electrical bits required to use injection. Otherwise you will have a lot of trouble finding the information on how to tune the SR20DE to it's best using webers.

Chris.

There are plenty of full race cams out there and webers would be so awesome because not many people do them up like that. Here in Japan Tomei, JUN, HKS, and Greddy are just a few names that make cams. Tomei even makes a race prepped NA SR crate engine.

133hp . this model sr20 is the one from out of the bluebirds and other front wheel drive cars, with the plain vavle cover. It also has multi-point injection.

p.s. is there any differences between a newer sr20de and the old one. i.e. stroke & bore. If there is no difference how comes the newer sr20's make more power than the new ones.

another problem.....thinking of putting this engine in a B310 sunny..but the thing is the throttle housing is going to face the firewall (since the engine came from a fwd car) is this a problem. Or could u jus get a hose with a bend and bring the air hose to the filter at the front.

thanks.

FWD and RWD SR20s are different blocks and aren't compatable to swap to oppisite configurations from what people here in Japan (that have tried it) tell me.
