Trim levels distinguish a model, and provide selling brackets for various buyers. Datsun 1200 came in these trims, from lowest to highest:
- Standard
- Semi-DX (van only)
- DX (Deluxe)
- Super Deluxe (van only)
- GL (Grand Luxury, グランデ ラクジアリ)
- GX (Grand Luxe Twin Carb)
The base coupe was at the DX level. GX was available only with 4-dr sedan and Coupe.
