Trim levels distinguish a model, and provide selling brackets for various buyers. Datsun 1200 came in these trims, from lowest to highest:

• Standard (スタンダード)
• Semi-DX (van only)
• DX (Deluxe, デラックス)
• Super Deluxe (van only, スーパー　デラックス)
• GL (Grand Luxury, グランデ　ラクジアリ)
• GX (Grand Luxe Twin Carb)

The base coupe was at the DX level. GX was available only with 4-dr sedan and Coupe.
