Datsun 1200 uses wiper motor with two speeds: Slow and Normal. What can be done to make it faster and slower?

Mazda Wiper Motor Upgrade

DimeQuarterly has a nice article on modifying the 1984-1987 Mazda 626 (Capella/Telstar) wiper motor or 1985 Mazda GLC (RWD 323) wiper motor to work on a Datsun. Reportedly, it has two speeds: normal and fast.
