Red 1200 Coupe
This beautiful orange Datsun 1200 Coupe was seen at Shasta 2002:
The guy on the right is the "Deputy," who bought this car as it is in the pic with tons of parts a few years before from a 1200 guru named Lance from Los Angeles, who owned the car for 20 years or so. The Deputy is polishing the 510 he later sold to Adam Carolla.
Dave had the car for less than two years before selling it to Cel. The motor originally ran 50mm carbies, but they were replaced with 44s in an attempt to make it more streetable.
The 1st owner, Lance, did all the work. Lance works for Paxton superchargers in Gardena, CA. He sold the car because his coworkers always made fun of it, so we hear. If he had kept it, it was going to be supercharged. Lance worked with Tomei in Japan.
