Standard equipment was a list of included features for a car that varied by market, year, and trim level. This was the level of features that came with every car, to which the purchaser, or the dealer, could add optional equipment.

Overview

Each market set their own standard equipment list. For example, Datsun UK fitted their 1200 offerings with a higher level of standard features than the Nissan Motor Co. in U.S.A. In turn the USA had a higher Deluxe offering than Japan, because USA had only one trim level, so they incorporate some JDM GL features into the american Deluxe.
