just lift it a little to get the engine level so that it can shift back and then down

I did yes. The mount is not fitted on this pic, but it's a plain piece of 6x50mm flat bar(I think you guys call it flat stock). I bent it by heating it with the torch, to the same shape as the original mount that was luckily still on the box. It then goes up and bolts through the floor pan.

Wait let me see... Nope I never took a pic of the gearbox mount, lets go get one quickly....her you go...

Her eyou can see the mounting. Some people don't like this way of mounting, but logic tells me the gearbox mounting never realy takes any strain, it's there to hold the box up, and that's it.


This is what I did on the inside. You'll notice that the bars inside extent quite far out sideways. This is so that they actually end up extending over the chassis rails that's underneath the floor pan. Should give more than enough strength.
