 Re: blown head gasket
When I was first starting out, an old mechanic told me the most common cause is grease or old gasket left on when fitting a new head gasket.

He recommended wiping the block and head face using ether (alcohol), and scraping the faces until they were absolutely clean. I've always followed his advice and never had a blown gasket, more than 25 years now.

The other common causes are:
- Not torquing the bolts in the right pattern
- Not using a torque wrench
- Overheating of the engine (run out of coolant)

you might get better results to your question if people can read what u type. but i reckon if it was a cheap gasket and you were revving it hard its probably no wonder that it blew.....
