anyone know how if someone tried a bike engine in a datto??
There are some nice pom cars running them since no pollution gear is needed eg. hayabusa 180hp 1300cc

hyabusa uses an inline 4 cyl....

not sure about its torque though....

even my bike uses an inline 600cc 4 cyl with quad carbs to produce 120hp....

factory claims 10.8 1/4 mile times keep in mind it only weighs 168kg (dry)

I dont believe for one (or 2.8) seconds that this mini does 0 - 100 in 2.8. sorry but inless someone has video or some other relyable source i dont buy it.
looks the part with the engine. but those tires are way to small and wheres the aerodynamics?
ive seen a 350hp V8 powered Anglia there was no way that thing could get anywhere near that. the only thing it was good for was smoking up the tires.

mm, should be possible
Twin engined mini's have been done before, John Cooper just about killed himself in his one in the 60's.
With 2 bike engines you'd end up with something well over 350hp, 4wd and substantially less than 600kg...The right gearing should see you at the speed limit pretty quickly. The Habusa engined single seaters do around 3 sec 0-100 in hillclimb trim with a 200kph top end..
Hey, the Skaife GTR did 3.2 0-100, and that weighed 1300kg!!

hmm, I've never liked mini's... but these ones look like an awful lot of fun! And they're RWD (w...right wheel drive)!

A v8 engine anglia would weigh as much as any stupid iron v8 engine car that does burnouts and doesnt turn.

twin hayabusa 1200cc 4 cylinder x 2 twin cam 168hp x 2 in under 600kg chassis rwd what else could be more fun road registered, within reach and fit snuggly next to the parking space of your lawnmower.

Wouldn't a turbo'd A15 in a Datsun 1000 have this much power, light weight -- and be more fun than a FWD mini?

Never having driven either car, I wonder.

DD this thing is RWD and the Hayabusa engines come in at 80kgs with gearbox.
Pity they dont make a bigger capacity bike engine with the balls of the 1200cc ones.
