Starts to the left of pic.That is a sharp right L18 has just come through,up the hill to the left sweeper then a drop of back to the bottom (just on top of L18 car), sharp right and back to the top,to the left and back down on the track you see at back of pic.Then back up the 1st down hill run and finish at the top some where.

hehe, I was having too much fun! this pic popped up on the home page for me today. first time I'd seen it.

So I dug around and found an older pic of my car at the same part of Mt Cotton in 2001 for comparison...



It was a goat track back then! rough and loose in places, but an awful lot of fun. I was only running Falken Azenis at that time too.

to me,he's doing quite nicely. & yes,theres a god awfully steep climb just out of pic on the right. that little ledge across the picture is the track after it comes back down the hill (call lovers leap cause it's close to vertical) & the track at the back of the picture is one part of the loop that turns the car around. It's Mt Cotton Hillclimb track, & from Harry's reaction to drifting strings earlier, i don't think he used the E brake or any other driftism. More likely
power oversteer. Running at Mt Cotton is one of my ambitions, the weekend before the Queens birthday weekend they hold the Qld Hillclimb championships there. I also want to run at Phillip Island, & Mt Ararat hillclimb in Victoria. A friend hit more than 140 mph in his openwheeler at Mt Ararat, thats my sort of a country road.

Still here when i can. Just finish # 3 dato, #1 dato will go in the shed to repaint from the brakefluid job done on it. Then #4 dato will be started on. That it all the girls have a datsun 120Y. Going to look good on Xmas day at my place all wil be here. 4 of them.

i was up there on sunday, mg car club, had a meet there. i must join the club and enter the hill climbs.

See Harry this is the sorta fun you need on the track, no fun having great trackon at all four wheels.

Hopefully the 120y can get the same results and sideways fun
