Re: My Datsun 120Y 1978 Nice 120Y. Nice color too. If you lower your 120Y, it will look better, and and also(and more important too) will perform much better under cornering, straight speed, highway, all around. You can use blocks in the rear, or decamber the springs , either or, or a combination of the 2(decambering 2 inches = a one inch block). The front, smaller spring(cut off) + cutting a section of the front strut will be the cheaper way, or else, coil overs if available. Lowered, black wheels(that is a personal preference, I like black wheels)then, you can add wider wheels, 13X7 or 13X8.You can use 175 or 195 or 215 wide 50 series tires( there are better sizes, but unfortunately, only racing compounds). Your car would look tough, perform excelent, low center of gravity, and respect on the road. You want your 120Y to be swift, fast, and look like it means business, larger diameter on a 120Y will only make it akward, like a giraffe, make it tough, not langy. I am jelous, look at those bumpers, you are lucky you never got the "park bench" US version bumpers. Cool ___________________________
