Re: uterous very nice. where did you get the crome strip of the front arches? was it a standard option on utes? ive seen it on a sedan before but never a ute.

Re: uterous Quinn Generally speaking, utes [trucks] were on the bottom of the heap when it came to the niceties of life. Anything you ever wanted in a vehicle, they didn't have it. My standard 1200 ute had only one sun visor & almost no chrome. Later on they came with more stuff, but price was an important selling point & anything that they could leave off helped to keep the price down.
Fancy trim was usually fitted by either the dealer, at customer request, or by a subsequent owner. I dont think that the chrome trim around the wheel arch was ever offered on a 1200, either standard, or as a factory option.
