 Re: The new paint job
This was my first paint job ever. It turned out pretty good. For those thinking about doing it yourself give it a go. In all honesty it wasn't that hard. Took about two weeks. Many times I felt like kickin the #### out of it but pushed on and ended up with a decent job.

There are some imperfections (black doesn't help, makes em show up more than any other colour) but its barley noticeable. However I've learnt so much and next time I'm certain i could do a awesome job.

Cost me about $350 in products-
-putty
-bog
-paint
-primer
-sand paper
-thinners
-wax and grease remover

Im heaps happy for the price

Give it a go yourself and youll be proud

Fro the primer/putty just used a sh-ity old supercheap 2hp compressor and a low pressure spray gun which actually works really well. Didn't run out of pressure at all. It held 45psi for hours.
For the top coat my neighbour let me borrow his massive compressor and high pressure spray gun which really wasnt much better than the cheap sh-it from supercheap. Just painted a bigger area in one go.

 Re: The new paint job
very nice...

now some questions:
was the paint acrylic?
what size needle did your gun have?
what ratio (paint to thinners) did you use?

oh, and don't try a top coat with a super cheap compressor. they really don't work that well.

-Yes the paint was acrylic
-Don't now size of needle. Didn't know the gun had one.
-Ratio was 1 paint for every 1 1/2 thinners
