'79 210 minus the ghetto tint mperdue 2004/9/14 13:38 Tell a friend 10587 9 0.00 (0 votes)
I scraped off most of the tint. The rear hatch is giving me trouble because I'm trying to avoid ruining the heater lines. I need to pick up som naptha to get the rest of the glue off. But visibility is much better now. |

Re: Very nice, particularly with those wheels. They seem to suit it well. It's good to see that you have an ongoing maintainance program that is steadily upgrading the car without riping up your bank acount. Very wise, you will not regret it.

Re: No spoiler but I did just get a set of NOS louvers. OH and it's gonna be awhile but one day she'll be a stock baby blue color minus the ding guards. May put original style side stripes too.

Re: tint A new razor blade works wonders for getting glue and old tint off.
Those 280zx rims suit the car quite well!

Re: tint Nice B310, and the coupes do seem to be the rare model nowadays.
I wonder how it would look without the side rub-strips? Or with the chrome painted black.

Re: tint THe razors worked great on the side windows but I think I'll cut up the rear window heater strips if I use them there. Oh and ddgonzal - I'm also wondering what it'll look like some day with the panels all straightened out and the strips pulled off. I don't think blacking the chrome parts is my style - I'm more leaning toward re-chroming the chrome parts and painting the body a dark color. That'll be a long time though. On the bright side, I've got an original antenna on the way - one by one I'm collecting and replacing missing or broken parts with original ones. ALso got a lead on a replacement seat cover and an original shift knob. cool!!
