Hey Sean. Sort of....just wanted a set to run some race rubber on, except no-one does decent 195/15 race rubber...or am I missing something. Now that I'm home until the new year I'll finish packing your boxes too. It's only been 12 months. Sorry...!!
Im sure you can get good rubber for them, probably just not that cheap, my mate has 205x15 dunlop slicks for his 1200. I just got some 14 inch watanabes last week, im going to get some 2nd hand f/ford tyres to try on them. 12 months to wait for free datsun parts isnt a problem Dan, I know your a busy man!
DTW - Are you after semi slicks or slicks? I ask because a 190 slick is slightly wider than a 195 semi slick. Or is the aspect ratio your concern? Matty
Thanks guys. I should've clarified what I'm looking for. I only live half hour from Bathurst and want (need..) to be able to drive the car there, and would prefer some sort of semi-race / road legal rubber. I didn't want to have to take another set of rims/rubber there with me and change at the track.
These wheels are for sale if anyone is interested. $650.00 not negotiable & you organise and pay for freight.
Only selling these because I found another set that look better on my car. I could always hang onto these as shed ornaments but space is a bit of a problem.
The wheels are SSR Mesh 15x6 +20 offset light weight 3-piece. No scrapes. Only 2 centre caps. No nuts. No tyres.
You don't get much of a chance these days...and I needed the space. I've given them away (free to good home) to a guy who said he was desperate for wheels (not a member). As soon as he gets tyres he's going to pick them up.
The whole point was I needed the room. If I were to sell them then $650 was the price. A mate of a mate has a pretty neat 180B and said they'd be his ultimate wheel if he could ever afford a set. He caught me just at the right time and I needed the room...he needed wheels...so I gave them away.
$650 is not a whole lot in the whole scheme of things...and I liked the fact that of all the cars this guy could drive...he chose a datsun.
Unlike the majority of young guys (not all) he preferred the datto to any new car. Gotta admire that....so I felt generous.
