This rear GX 2 door sedan was at the Datsun 1600 nationals show and shine in Adelaide.
It has a CA18DET in it. This was achieved through a CA18 fitting kit from MADDAT.

Yeah this car is pretty sweet. I have also seen it at the Adelaide 4's,6's and rotary nats at Adelaide International Raceway. It goes pretty well, just needed better tyres as he was gettin wheel spin all the way in first and seccond gear. His mate was driving it that day.
As far as i have been told, there is only a couple on the road and either the guy that owns this one or a mate of his own about 3-4 more of these in a shed or something. Its like "barstard, sell one to me"!

i spoke to the owner of this one on the track day, he only has that one, he wants to keep that one as a daily driver/ restored car sorta thing as it has all the GX goodies on it too, and is after another 2dr to do up as a circuit car, he was very intrested in mine for a while but wasnt gonna have the money for a month and then never got back to me

As i understand it , there could be as may as five or six two door sedans in Christchurch.
One used to live across the street from my dads. At least one of them id left hand drive, it was in the paper for weeks about 7-8 years ago.

i know that john taylor from peddars penrith had privately imported some years ago (i'm talking early eighties here) from new zealand to use in rallying.i think there were 6 or 7 imported.i can still remember seeing one hard up the date of some v8 powered falcon on the great western highway,just before it slipped through a gap & disappeared.they all had 1700 cc galant motors & were painted yellow over chocolate brown,with a black bonnet.there must have been some other private imports as well.was sort of offered one at the time,but didn't have the money to buy it,& they were all very rough.don't worry,just the ramblings of an old fool.

That looks HOT. I have only even seen two 1200 2 door sedans in NZ and that was about 10 years ago and about 5 years ago. One was the ugly orange colour and std. The other was also std but the light blue colour. Was wondering if there was any left in NZ????

Hey,

To my knowledge there are a few in NZ.

Just more or less not on the road is the usual story - just in the 'restorable'category.

I think Quinn bought one off trademe a few months ago.

it's not 1200rallycar's ... and not ade's ... these and the white one are the only four 2-dr sedans in AU, right?
