 Re: 02. My engine bay
There was alot of oil and dirt on it when I first bought it back in 2002, but I had to go park it for over a year and a half at work in the yard,

It gets wery windy in this part of canada and the dust just blew up in there.. you should have seen the inside before i cleaned it out.

But Dodgeman is right, its clean under the dirt, just a few rusty spots, the rest is all good.

What about a Taurus SHO 24-valve 3-liter? You can use an Astrovan rwd transmission.

Yes its muddy, its caked with dust and oil.

Hey DD, long time no speak,
Yeah, I dont want to go v6.
I think that the biggest i would ever go is 2L and I like my turbos.
We'll see, maybe an A15 FI build up to begin with as it will be real cheap

Don't knock it, a good layer of oil soaked dust is probably the best automotive protectant & rust preventative that i can think of. Many a chassis has been saved through the decades by this naturally occuring process.

Oh yeah, its all clean underneath, like new.
I just wish that there was more mud and oil under the floorpans.

Ange's right, all left drive models have hydraulic clutches.
It looks like it has seen a lot of very dusty roads & the front chassis parts are probably in very good condition. A good degrease, then a vigorous washdown & it will look much better.
