Re: Factory(?) A-series electronic dizzy I'm stumped. I've never seen an A-series distributor with a screw-on cap. Although I have three different kinds out in the garage. I guess I should pay better attention...

Re: Factory(?) A-series electronic dizzy My a15 dizzy has a screw on cap.
As for electronic dizzys, whats their main advantage? Ive got a normal points dizzy on my a15 and never had a problem with it

Re: Factory(?) A-series electronic dizzy Press number in the side of it is: T4T66371 then in small numbers beside:9829 Then below that is the Nissan/Dtasun stamp with:22100 G5110
The only not so ordinary 'A' engine I have about is an A14GX. Might have collected it from someone who had played with it?
The benefits of electronic are, no more points setting, more accurate/stable timing, and you can run a higher output coil.

Re: Factory(?) A-series electronic dizzy It is a Nissan Vanette distributor. Mitsubishi T4T66371Part Number 22100-G5110 Late model Sunny Truck also uses T4T type so the look alike.

Re: Factory(?) A-series electronic dizzy Judging from the screws to hold the cap off... I'd go for FWD which means N12 pulsar/astra.
Very easy conversion I did it recently.
