1972 has a larger-diameter switch with two mounting lugs. 1971 is smaller with one mounting lug.

The 1971 'Small' switch has four spade terminals. The 1972 and newer 'Large' adds the "Accessory" position and so has five spade terminals.

Switch internal connections:
Off - no connections
Accessory - Battery (hot) to ACC
Run - Battery (hot) to ACC + IG
Start - Battery (hot) to IG + Resistor + Start
*Starting with 1974 automatic models and all newer, ACC is also hot while in the Start position.

LB110 wiring follows:

IG - Ignition. This connects to two things:
1. Directly to Ballast Resistor (non-coil side). If equipped with optional factory tachometer, this circuit goes through tachometer
2. To IG circuit of fuse box

S - Start circuit. This is connected only to the:
1. Solenoid on the starter

B - Battery (always hot)
1. Battery + terminal, through the fusible link
2. Fuse box "B" side
3. Alternator "A" large output wire
4. Voltage regulator "A" terminal

R - Resistor. Connects directly to:
1. Coil + terminal
2. Ballast resistor (coil side)

ACC - Accessory circuit. Connects to:
1. Radio (through inline fuse)
.. 1971 Radios connect to fuse box L wire (always hot)
2. Optional heated rear window glass (1972-North America, 1973-Canada only)
Note that this circuit does NOT go to the fuse box, as does Bat and IG.
