This one shows the true color a whole lot better.

oooh that looks nice! Where are you getting it painted at and how much is it costing you? I'm looking at getting mine done up here on mainland...basically a body restoration/painting. I don't know how pricing goes here in Japan on stuff like this, but I imagine they do the best work. The crew at Matsuoka are going to take my car to their recommended 1200 expert shop for an estimate, but I'd like to get some kind of comparisons. I just haven't decided on color/paint scheme. I saw a green one with two white racing stripes that made it look like a Shelby Mustang....absolutely awesome. I used to want a scheme like that with different colors, but then there's that picture on this site of the deep red Jap. Ute with the black hood, fender mirrors and flares that looks AWESOME too. It probably won't stay silver, except maybe with twin black stripes and carbon fiber highlights. Dahh soo many possibilties...I need a couple 1200's to satisfy my desires! Hey your engine looks great too! What all has been done to it? Have you seen my bro around at all lately? Talk to you later!

So far I've just done the engine bay and all the suspension. Body work is really expensive here but the guy that's doing mine gets cars shipped to him from mainland to restore so he's the best on my island. Haven't really got an estimate for the whole thing yet but he'll be making steel flares once I get the suspension hieght/tire diameter worked out. We're also re-smoothing the tailgate and cutting the bed lip off and changing to round headlights.

Engine's an A14 bored to 79mm with Tomei forged pistons from Feral and polished rods. Cam of unknown specs from Rallytwit all he said is it's a 3K rpm starter. 5kg flywheel and Nismo disc. 38mm in/32mm ex valves with pretty extensive porting and stock combustion chambers on an A14 GX head with double springs. Nismo head gasket and Tomei intake gasket. Tomei intake with 40mm Solex's for now. Fujitsubo header jet hot coated and full stainless N1 type exhaust.

Haven't seen your brother since that one day in the junkyard.

I really like the color you've got now and if anything I'd just get it done up really nice in a similar color. I really like the type-X 180SX silver.

What did you choose an A14 over an A15?

Coincidentally, I run an A14 for the same reason. Hey, it looks like that header is made to clear GX carbs?
