You would be lucky to be using 50% of that cooler, the rest is there to help cause lag

well ok then, did your lag-o-metre tell you that?

place a boost gauge on each side of that cooler, you would find a massive drop! its simple science

yeh im with flyby, that intercooler is way to big, u would only be using the top half of that cooler, coz the boosted air will flow throo the top half and wont have enough pressure to run throo the bottom half.

Ok so if there's no lag in there, what the best 1/4 mile? This personal slanging match needs to be matched up with fact.

190kW isn't hanging around, should be good for 11s. What's your Ute weigh? We had a discussion recently and found sub 900kgs was about normal.

Sounds like you've been running this setup for a while, so I'm keeping an open mind.

this car has been running in the 11s for along time it weighs in at under 900kgs 860 last time. you dont get much pressure drop as it is tube and fin! bar and plate maybe! this setup works fine had no probs so far maybe its one of them miths that bigger isnt better! i will post a time card on this ute.

if all your doing is straight line then you probably wouldn't notice the lag.

street and circuit driving would be dramatically improved with a better design.

Regular 11 quarters? nice, what the details on the engine hardware?

this ute is only made for straight line as iam not into street or circuit! we are talking to different moter sports! the ca has heavily ported head one peice tapperd valves, springs cams cam wheels ge forged pistons shotpeened rods all ballenced 600cc injectors and a xf throttle body gt 28 turbo. and it is a provin fact that you will get more pressure drop with bar an plate regairdless of its size and design

lol you talkin out your ass now.
I got not disrespect for you or your car.
But something that was designed to flow better with less restriction ( Bar and Plate ) compared to extruded tube ( Tube and Fin )
You crack me up more than Dattodevil.

I like the power it produces, good work.... How much did all those mods cost but?? (Just to the engine)....

Althought I'm not a big fan of the intercooler but I see you've set it up for drag so then it's needed as every advantage helps especially in intake chage temps.

Cheers
Damo

I think you will find Bar and Plate will have less pressure drop and Tube and Fin will have more pressure drop but better Heat dispersion.

I am still cracking up at Dattodevil

 Re: front of googs ute
its obvious that everyone has their own opinion...

i personally would trade any power gains to have my front end back to normal..

but if googs thinks it looks nice and is happy with the way it works then we should respect that..

at the end of the day 190rwkw in a 1200 ute deserves some respect no matter how its achieved
