I started with 150lb rate. I have no idea what the stock 1200 spring rate is....I think bolt on sleeve should holding in place if not I just weld on it.....I still don't know the ride height until install it

 Re: S130 strut photo
i was using 250p springs in my setup..
it was very good for the track but a bit too firm for the street.. u could go a little firmer but with an a series motor it should be ok..

most likely u will find the spring platform at the bottom of the strut on the first big pothole u hit...
i had this happen when i was advised that 4 grubscrews and a bit of locktite will be sufficient.. This was from a engineer too.
i ended up welding a collar on the strut..
have a look at the first pic in the suspension section of the photo gallery.. i made this backyard strut years ago when i was still 19..

I used steel threaded sleeves so i could weld mine to teh strut. how can you weld alloy to steel?

Ive gone for 275lb springs but ive got the L-series so should be ok. I like the 280zx strut, ive been amazed how much more room you get in the wheel well compared to the stanza gear.
