I used to see a car that looked exactly like this one driving around north melbourne. Driven by an older guy. Never managed to talk to the guy, but I'm sure he lived or worked in North Melbourne.

Hope it is that same one, i always feared that 120a would end up at the crusher.

SunnyDaze: I would say that it was this car you saw. Dont worry it wont be going to the wreckers.

You got it! Good stuff - I've always liked these.

Well, the front wheel drive part is not it's best asset, but a GTI-R chassis and drivetrain will fix that problem!

....don't butcher it though, seriously!

people used to chop these things up for motorkhanas and sprints in the UK - hence why there are none left anywhere.

kinda like mini mokes in Australia really.

they're a good car and handle pretty well for a FWD apparently.

Tyrie: Yes this is the Car from Melbourne.

TnPshow: I wouldnt do that to this car. But I could to one of the other 3 cherrys I have if you want to donate the GTiR gear and pop down and give me a hand to build it all. (I actually brought one of my cars from Adelaide)

Tom210: what can I say I have an addiction. Its called Datsunitis or Cherry Fever.I am indeed a sick dirty old man.

L18_B110: The car was shipped to Aust by the original owner from Malta and has been here since 1977. The owner has now gone back to Malta and sold the car to his next door neighbour who sold the car to me. I even have the original shipping docket for the car to be shipped to Malta from Japan.

My plan is to tidy it up abit and keep it original as I can. Apart from a set of mags.

I like it. It has that appeal only the unusual vehicles have.
In Europe there is a lot of them , I mean a lot of followers and a lot of them surviving.

They look very nice restored.
