They would have to run a thermo fan at the front of the radiator i reckon, i wonder why they lengthened the front end?

The PB110 Sunny Excellent 1400 used a standard engine driven fan.

Pb110 Tech Section

Remember that the L-series engine fits in a stock 1200 nose, so there was no particular need for Nissan to make the Excellent compartment bigger. I think the engine compartment is the same length as B110, except for the pointed grille and corresponding pointed hood makes it seem bigger.

The PB110 is apparently 170 mm longer (about 6 inches), but basically the same width. The radiator core support panel appears to be in the same place as a standard Datsun 1200. See PB110 (Sunny Excellent) vs. B110 (Sunny)
