The old pistons are Aries they weigh the same as the new ones (Venolia) both pistons made in USA.
The conrod (Argo) is slightly heavier than the race preped standard rod but looks so much stronger. I have nearly finished assembly of my bottom end I dont remember engines taking soo long to assemble.
Im selling the old 1mm oversize pistons & race preped rods for $400 if anyone is interested. Rods have been shotpeened and chev ARP bolts fitted. The pistons have been machined to lower comp to 8:1 in good condition.

Just a pic of Andrews (CA18det_man) new Vs old piston. Look a the difference in the rods , painted rods too and the piston tops. Quality stuff

any idea what the difference in weight is on these two? The standard ones appear to be much lighter!
