We got the four door right from when they were first released as the 1968 model. They were also available as the 1969 & '70 models.
Australia seems to have been the only country outside Japan to have received the full B10 model range, even if some minor spec's were changed for the Australian version.
This sedan looks to be a JDM 1969 DeLuxe & the black wheels look cheap & tacky in my personal view. They need to be SEEN, with a bit of colour, even if it's natural cast alloy colour, with berhaps the rim portion polished for a bit of bling. Black makes it look like someone is trying to hide something, .... like poor quality.

I had one of those delivery vans a few years ago.... should never have sold it. bought it for $300. It came with 5speed, disc brakes and a 1400.

I have never seen any reference to this windowless version [yet], & I have sales brochures & parts books, but if you have a picture of one,
I would dearly love to see it.
I knew about the 1200's like this, but not the 1000.

The wagon [with windows] was known as the Van, & it was model coded VB10. I had always believed that it was available as a straight 'van' without
the folding back seat installed, but have never come up with the proof.

The black 13" wheels on the Rally spec KB10 would have been drawn from the P510 parts bin, same as the 1200 did later. The wheels all came black
as this was a cost effective finish, particularly when the whole wheel was to be covered with a wheel cover or 'hubcap' as 510's did.
Interestingly, some 1000 wheels came with a silver[ish] finish.
Mmmmm, satin black KB10 Rallye wheels, nothing wrong with the quality of these.
I guess that if I was paying full retail price for Watanabe's, I would want to make sure that everyone knew about it.

Now that van definately looks interesting. I wonder if it is unique to South Africa as this is a S.A. brochure.
It also says "Manufactured & Distributed by etc etc" so I suspect that it is.
The small dome blinkers suggest 1967 or probably very early 1968 model while the ute looks to be a '68.
I gotta say that I don't think that they made these in Japan, & that's too bad.

Welcome back Steve. I was beginning to think that you didn't love me any more.

Thought so. Its the same with everything isnt it?

Ive posted pics of that 1000 panel van in the past, Im sure you saw it.

This 1000 looks cool. It goes to show that you can hide flashy things and still look more stylish. I guess it depends if you just want to stand out, or if you want to stand out because of class.

Maybe its an homage to the 13 inch satin black rallye wheels offered as a factory option on the KB10.
