what kind of modifications do you have to do, to be able to use a SR20det clutch

Flywheel redrilled & surfaced on a CNC machine. (Sorry, we did not save the program.) No reason to do this with an A14GX motor, but I wanted to be ready for the built A17.

OK, I'll bite Tell us about the A17. I know of some 1600cc A-series strokers ... but how are you going to get 1700cc?

With a bit of machine work, you can fit the E16 internals, but you'll need to design some custom (short) pistons. When and If I get to that point, I'll share the details, but I may abandon the project if I can figure out what to do with this CA18 that found its way onto my engine stand.

Hmmm ... have you seen this discussion about a 1700cc A-series and about using the J-series pistons? Cheap forged crank and rods for a10 and a15??

Wow, I'll need more time to sift through all that info. It seems there is interest in a Nissan parts bin A-Series stroker motor, and my option may be one of the most viable (assuming you have access to an E motor). Let me know if anyone wants to pursue it.

What's your front suspension setup?

What are the camber plates and coilovers designed for? Where did you get the t/c rod bushings? What's the swaybar from? Most importantly, does it all work well?

Re: Shasta 2002 - Engine compartment
Camber plates = increased negative camber, good for cornering contact patch
Coilovers = height adjustment, also wide variety of spring rates, easily changeable
t/c rod bushings = home made, but could probably adapt 510/z ones
Swaybar from Quickor Engineering, same as Nissan Comp USA I believe
All works well as long as the rear susp. is equally set up but not for long trips or bumpy roads/tracks

I meant what chassis are the camber plates/coilovers designed for? I see the plates have a 4 bolt pattern which is why I ask.

The camber plates are universal fit made by Ground Control. They allow more adjustment than the Cusco type, but you must drill mounting holes and also trim part of the strut tower.

Sorry Jaime, project A17 has been axed in favor of the ca18de.

I hate to be a pain, but the coilovers are ground control too?

It was not hard at all. The machine shop just cut a little more material than they would have in a regular valve job to accomodate the larger valves. I don't remember the exact price because it was the extra labor added on to the total price of the job.
