 Re: At the Beaters #1
Thanks guys,

Yeah the shell was very good except a couple of dings - virtually no rust at all!

It's a Tarmac rally car for this beast + hillclimbs and other non-contact sports

Well at least non contact with other cars - there's always trees and enbankments...

The motor: (CLICK)

Gearbox will be a Toyota T50, and a cut down bluebird diff with the H165 LSD courtesy of Topgear .

Front brakes arel be courtesy of Dattoman1000 but rears are undecided - maybe just drums for now?

Apart from the cage & seats I will try to keep it as stock looking as possible, including guard mounted mirrors (always liked that look - cheers Chris!)

Mechanically it's a real Datsun1200.com magic recipe

It will be a historic racer (I will do the Classic Adelaide rally) but Targa Tasmania is far beyond my wallet (unless I can hook some very enthusiastic sponsors )

I plan on doing a build diary as it goes together but development seems to have paused for now as the panel beater is flat out...

Ah well - I can start doing the front end while I'm waiting and there's always my DIY T50 adaptor to finish...

Now why does this picture look familiar.
Oh yeah, because I have seen something like this before.
If you're going to do a KB10, might as well do it right.

Great job.
