GX....140Y....L14....this is the same car as the Sunny excellent 1400 from Japan and/or the 140Z from South Africa.
Another name for it was a 140Y GX......always learning...Dgonzal.....this infor has to go into your Wiki!!!

the "Datsun 140Y" badge looks like a later addition... it doesn't look like it belongs there...

I think the oringinal badge would have read "PB210 GX" not what it reads there...

I think the "Datsun 140Y' has been "borrowed" of a B310 as the sunny was sold as "140Y" in some countries...

That could be a posibility... the only way to tell is by reading the tittle registration.

My former B210's engine plate read "KHLB210", but the badges on the outside body read "B210".

The engine plate for this car reads "PB210", but the badges outside read "140Y GX".

It would be interesting to see if the engine placard in the 140Z read "PB210" or anything else.

South Africa seems to had been a particular market....perhaps any of the South African member can shed some light into the quandary.
