A cute but noisy 1000 coupe that came along to the recent QPDC cruise last Saturday.

We're just poiking alittle bit of fun......just jokes.
I might have a spare coupe grille somewhere and even some headlight surrounds as it seems your missing them too.
The front lights are just plain ugly but you can adapt 1200 fronts under the bumper. Mine has these. If I had a camera I could show you that they look factory and you can't tell the difference. As for the mirrors well my car doesn't have any at all and I'm not a fan so I can't help you these.
I'll be making fibreglass bonnets with and without a scoop like my racecar soon but you probably like your scoop so we won't worry about that

Harry never seen a dark racing green one. Looks mad. Like the no bumper look. I saw a coupe 2 years ago with an L16, extractors, big holley and big smash on the side. I guess he needed flares 7 or 8 inch wide wheels and that tree to jump out of the way.

I really want to rescue this classic. Are you interested in selling? I miss my old thousand. And here's a rear shot. Should never have sold that car

Next time you see the owner of this vehicle give him a slap for me.
What an ugly front end.
Not only does it have an ugly grille, stupid air splitter, wrong side indicators but those park lights and front indicators are hideous.
Other than that I think I could be salvaged

Oh yeah take that dumb looking scoop off too.

 Re: Datsun 1000 Coupe
take the lights out and that front scoop thing it would look better but its looks ok to me the only thing i could see that needs to be done is the grill they cut it wrong and bent the end of the metal if they used tin snips you use the back of it not the end thats what looks to have been done

I actually like it. It is very much "Kustom" style which was very popular in late 50s early 60s.

 Re: Datsun 1000 Coupe
looks cheap and tacky. I had no idea you could make a thousand look this butt-ugly! but I guess this is the kind of thing that results from a guy who's only mechanical skills involve safety scissors and glue... was that too harsh?

 Re: Datsun 1000 Coupe
Harry man youre too kind...
1. The grill is where his mums disposable bake foil tins went or the old fly screen out the back.
2. indicators surely from his dads rusty trailer
3. bumper came from his dads old holden after being straighten from 23 reversing accidents with his letterbox while getting his L plates.
4. mirrors from his sisters tricycle dont need further comment.
5. sits higher than a hilux for his Stalin height complex.
6. Industrial gas heater radiator window pinched from his last job and chopped in halve for the scoop.
6. His drum kit on the rear shelf looks like it was put together by stevie wonder.
7. lucky we cant see the rear.
8. if thats the owner with the blue shirt and the OMO white pants he should have kept his hands in his pockets permanently.
Sadly the 1000 coupe was a nicely designed car with some nice angles similar to a 60s silvia but there are always...( one for you 1200rc) the ex-1600 drivers.

 Re: Datsun 1000 Coupe
Why would a 1000 driver knock 1000 mirrors?

Too big and spun facing the wrong way down to make sure they dont stick out too much cause of their size and non orig placementt. I have the orig mirrors on mine on the guards and are smaller in head size (maybe the arms are orig). Some like guard mirrors some dont but thats up to the owner My avata has the mirrors up front orig position and you can just make out their size difference even though they are the closer to the camera.
