 Re: Tyrie
yeh I was pretty lucky, he bounced off the bonnet, missed the windscreen and dented the roof on the way over. Unfortunately the radiator support was pushed back a centimetre or two, and the holes where the bumper bolts distorted so the bumper sits further in on the right.

I pulled the panels off and spent about an hour tapping with a hammer and I think I've got it all straightened, I might get away with only needing a new bonnet and bonnet hinges (bent). The guard I will try to save as its had a lot of work around the arches.

Cheers for the offer datsun_guy, where abouts are you?

Most unfortunate.....but like it was said before, could had been much worse.

Might be easier to get used panels/hoods than fixing it or taking the car to the beaters.
Its is a cool car, make sure you bring it back to its glory.
Nice steel wheels, I like the look of steel wheels. Look like 15's.....perhaps 14's.

I saw it... about three tenths of a second before I hit it. Sure scared the #### outta me, a "I know whats about to happen, I dont want it to happen but theres jack #### I can do about it" feeling.

It will be back to its former (lack of) glory. Might even change the headgasket while its off the road.

Good to know you are already working on the restoration. Good time to make engine repairs too.
Those wheels look good, 15X8 rear....got a love the 120Ys....how many cars can hold a 15X8 so subtlely. Very cool.

About the Kangoroo...was it one of the large ones?? the red Kangoroo???

I have seen them boxing in circuses.....you better watch out....they might come after you....

It was an eastern grey kangaroo, but by no means a small one.

datsun_guy, the price is right, but I'd rather not drive that far if I can avoid it, so I'll be looking locally first. Thanks anyway
