Yes, that's the original size radiator. Arguably it was too small.

they're not the original strut tops - and they're also not properly fitted!

The colour is 'safari yellow' - original colour. Yes it was a nice original car but had a bit of rust which we fixed up.

The struts and brakes are actually late-model 120Y ones, how are they not properly fitted out of interest?

And we removed the washer bag cos it was perished and not working anyway.

I actually had to sell this car to fund more mods for my 1600, but am looking at getting an extension on my loan to get a 1200 coupe asap cos i miss it so much. :(

they look very much to me like they are offset. it could just be the angle of the photo, but I don't think so. You'll have less camber and caster on the drivers side in the orientation it is fitted in the pic. do you find it pulls to one side?

Hey ca18datto, perhaps a little late, but, my sugestion would had been to sell the 1600 to get some money for improvements in the 1200. I like all datsuns, but if forced to choose, I think I would go for the 1200.
Time for redemption, get that coupe and erase that bad deed from your record.

Jaime

 Re: Engine Bay
L18_B110 - I'm pretty sure we got it all even when changing over the struts, just enlarged the holes that were already there in the exact same place - didn't pull the to side as far as I remember but then again I never got to drive it very much being unregistered and all! :(

jaimecidpedro - thanks for the suggestion but selling the 1600 isn't an option at the moment, I have put too much time and money into it to sell right now! Plus I love it so much and really enjoy driving it - it's my baby

Was wanting to get a 1200 as a runabout then maybe do it up properly down the track (ca18 conversion most likely), or if I get the coupe I may just keep it original!

nah, harry, there just 120y original strut tops, they're inverted to the 1200 strut tops.there's about 50 mm difference in the installed height between the two(the 1200's are shorter).

It has no regulator.

Yes I am somewhat of an ammatuer detective with highly trained observation skills...

It has a newer alternator does it? Or is it just not in there?
