Hyundai radiator in a 1000

After many months searching and trial fitting i found a rad that will fit in a 1000 without cutting out the inner guards and relocating the battery! A Hyundai Excel X3 DOHC. I took a stuffed one home from work and made some brakets and hoses up for it. Should work well when i get a new rad and a thermo fan. |

Re: Hyundai radiator in a 1000 well done thats a great mod for an A series. I like the gemini radiator and an oil cooler, but the gemini stuff is becoming harder to get now a days and the hyundai one is alloy so it would be alot lighter....

Re: Hyundai radiator in a 1000 yeh the reason i picked the Hyundai rad was because it was pretty much the only one that fits width wise in a 1000 with the outlets on the right sides. We are limited to 650 wide, and only about 500 high. This rad is just the right height to, the cap is about 50mm away from the bonnet.

Re: Hyundai radiator in a 1000 Cool mod, I'm using the 1600 Golf one, but with the 4age, fits perfectly too.
Just looking at the pic, it seems as if your alternator and water pump pulley doesn't line up. But it might be a distortion from the angle of the photo...
