yes, i went into the Cams office yesterday morning to get the contact details for the event secretary, & a license application,& they told me the bad news. Can't help wondering if my entry might have made a difference. Bugger.
As for the lifting front wheel, try fitting a rear sway bar if you don't already have one. This will allow you to keep the same spring rates, but curb some of the body roll. i don't know if pedders still do anything for 1200's, but a walk round a wrecking yard with a tape measure might find you something you can use. I scored a 10 mm rear bar off a ke70 corolla once, it would probably be useable. Or maybe somebody on this site would have something lying around.

yeah ive got a whiteline setup on the front and rear but the rear isnt straped down real well
at this point im well and truely back on the accelerator so the front got a bit light, so that might help a bit
and i think the sway bar is around 20-22mm ill get some numbers tommorow

does look very soft in the rear end - looks like a rally car! cool pic though

22mm rear bar is definitely too big for a 1200. I had a whiteline 17mm rear bar on my coupe, and that was too big! I ground it down a few mm, but even then you don't want one that big unless you have a locked diff and pretty stiff front setup - I had about 300lb springs and 20mm bar up front.

I'd take B310GX's tip and try one of those 10mm corolla bars first.

For Supersprint, do you get to use the WHOLE circuit, or is there a shorter course?

To be able to scare yourself spitless running flat out on this legendary, & world famous track would be a trip all on it's own.

There was talk at the 2005 speed weekend of a whole lap supersprint in 2007 sometime. I'm fairly certain that this pic is for the conrod supersrint. Basically a drag down the straight through the chase, the final turn onto pit straight and finish at the start /finish line.

yeah there was talk about doing a 3 quarter lap dash but the man power requried is beyond our little club so that probably isnt going to happen.
beny is correct it is just a 1 on 1 drag down conrod, through the chase, into murrays corner and to the pit straight.
its quite funny to see the look on the drivers face of a worked 245 hemi pacer when my little dato edges past him down conrod

well now that you mention it, it actually is an ex rally car lol but the rear swaybar isnt held onto the chassis very well. its sort of a 150mm long bar that is strapped onto the chassis via eyelets which diesnt help a great deal because the bar can actually be moved slightly whilst the car is staitionary and as for spring rates ive got no idea but the springs have been turned upside down and had another leaf added

thanks to evilsim on datsun1200.com for this photo, sadly our next supersprint on the 20th is canceled because of lack of entries
it is a really great course and i know that ca18detman likes to stretch his coupe's legs down conrod straight
