just picked up my 4 ex 2ltr alfa 40mm dellortos last night

need to attack them with a bit of carby cleaner

Are the cleaner ones DHLA-F's?

They are better than the other ones, the F's dont have such a rich progression through low to mid range, will work great on the 2L.

yes the ceaner ones are Fs the other ones are Gs
i was going to the carby place tomorrow to ask advice...i need to swap the top off one of the Gs onto one of the Fs...the Gs look like they are brand new inside though

See how the F's have the unshrouded mix screw, the other ones get crossthreaded easily and are a pain in the arse. Also see the adjustable air bleed with lock off nut.

Whats wrong with the F cover did the casting for the float break?

Just noticed the F's are missing the top part of the 2 peice alloy jet covers. My F's on the corolla have the brown jet covers like yours.

what do you mean theres something missing

yeah one of the float holding in things broke and i found it stuck in one of the holes down the bottom.....carb still worked fine though

i just thought the Fs looked cooler coz the jet cover thing points away from the engine
