This was also at the dyno place. I fail to see the benefit of having a set of runners, most probably a cut camshaft, performance air filter, but then chiking the lot with a standard carby... |

Re: 1400 bakkie with some goodies My Bakkie also has a aftermarket air filter on it. The only advantage it has is, that it looks better than the origanal, beeter engine sound and It can be cleaned and not replaced. No power increase at all.
As for the cam, I was told be SAC that I cannot have my cam cut with the origanal carb still on the bakkie, it cant supply enought air after the cam has been cut. I would need to install at least a weber, delorto or a SU carb first.

Re: 1400 bakkie with some goodies The original air filter will pass more air than the stock carb can consume, so the aftermarket filter seems to be a bit of a waste.
