went to the drags tonight and did a few runs the best time wasthis one at 20.42 sec and my best reaction time for the night was 0.768 and my highest terminal speed was a massive 62.84 mph, i couldnt help but laugh. i did this so that i could see the difference in power when i do the turbo conversion this week.

At least the way the drag strips work in the US the reaction time is not a part of the ET. The clock starts as the front tire leaves the beam. You have to dial in as close to your actual ET as possible and get a good reaction time to win in bracket racing.

it only cost 25 bucks so it was well worth it to find out the power difference

Your time, adjusted for reaction time, is nearly identical to mine (completely stock A12 including carb and exhaust). That suggest that your 1200 and 32/36 is in good tune and running well. ddgonzal's timeslip.

I'd have thought that the 32/36 would help with your top end power and final speed. However the exhaust pipe is too big for a stock A12, so it is probably counteracting that. But that combo should be good once you put the turbo on.

another reason is its slow is that our strip is so slippery and its hard as not to brake traction, it was my first go on a strip aswell so next ill be alot better. what i noticed about street compared to strip was wearing a helmet and not being able to here everything as much, so all i could rely on was my tacho(no shift light)

Good for you. Too many people delay running their car on the strip. They are all like "Nah, not till I get such and such sorted" ect. By making a slow run you have a much better gauge by which to assess the improvement when you forcefeed your engine.
Sometimes I feel that my best time is slow. Especially if you read magazines where every car seems to be a sub 13 second terror. But it warms my heart to be reminded of what these beasts do standard.

wow if you had traction issues on a 60mph pass, your gonna struggle with a well sorted turbo setup!

nevermind, i bet you had a ball out there!

i know i did my first time, cant wait to do it again!

as for the traction problem, its well known up here that the track is like ice(maybe not that bad), dont really know why but it just is. it only skips a little at the start of the track

Makes me want to get my daisy back together for a run to see what the old donk will do before the upgrade.

hmmm perhaps I should do it.....
i guess you have to have some guts to go to the track with a car that isnt likly to impress anyone.
