This is taken from the right side of my 1200. The holes fit both the "Datsun" or "Sunny" badges.

Both badges (right side and left side) are exactly the same. Which means the holes are drilled reverse from the other side. The holes appear to be 3.5 mm diameter

(measure your emblem to be sure)

I'm guessing they placed the holes based on the position of the side lamp, 'cause both side of mine are relative to the lamp (not to the back of the body). Like in this photo:

Btw, USA side lamps are this large size. Other countries got smaller side lamps.
